[Article: The political and demographic divides in kitchen-tool ownership, and more!] This Washington Post article delves into the intriguing world of kitchen utensil ownership in the United States. The study reveals that only 35% of Americans own sporks and that men are slightly more likely to own them than women. It was also found that younger adults under 30, especially those with a Hispanic background, are more likely to own sporks. The study also explored the ownership of other kitchen tools, with the spatula emerging as the most frequently used tool. The less-known zester and mandoline slicer turned out to be the most confusing kitchen tools, with a significant number of people unsure of whether they owned one. The study also revealed that approximately 27% of Americans would prefer to own more kitchen tools, suggesting that America has not yet reached peak kitchen clutter.
