Welcome to the sixtieth ever issue of Monday Morning Data Science from the Fred Hutch Data Science Laboratory. We are excited to show you what we have been working on (Fresh from the Lab), plus links that we think you would be interested in (Our Weekly Bookmarks Bar). Part of the purpose of this newsletter is to start conversations, so if you have a question or there is something you would like to share with us please let us know by responding directly to this email.

Through exploring the many AI possibilities at your fingertips, you will build leadership skills for helping your business, lab, organization, or community work more efficiently, creatively, and ethically.
Our Weekly Bookmarks Bar
[Open Course Materials: Statistical Programming Paradigms and Workflows] Friend of the lab Stephanie Hicks’ new course covers topics such as programming in Unix/command-line tools, version control, advanced R and tidyverse skills, creating R packages with documentation, working with relational databases, functional programming, using data from APIs, and introduction to Shiny and dashboards. The course materials include lectures and projects, and they emphasize practical examples in statistical data analysis.
[Event: Data Mishaps Night] We are really looking forward to this event, which focuses on sharing and learning from mistakes made in data science and analytics. Participants share stories about data errors, analysis gone wrong, or misinterpretations, with the aim of learning valuable lessons from these experiences. This event includes presentations, discussions, and networking opportunities, emphasizing a constructive and humorous approach to dealing with data mishaps.
